One Piece: All Supernovas (Plus Blackbeard) Ranked

Here I’ll be discussing the Supernovas (and Blackbeard) in terms of strength. Thankfully, we have seen almost every Supernova in combat, so it should not be too hard to scale them. I also wanted to add Blackbeard into the mix for some fun. Just to be clear there will be NO SPOILERS FROM THE MANGA. Let’s just get right into it with the weakest at number 12.

12. Jewelry Bonney

I’m going to have to put Bonney at the bottom for two major reasons. We haven’t really seen her fight anyone besides a swift kick to Douglas Bullet in One Piece: Stampede. The only thing we have from her is losing to Blackbeard and his crew right before the time skip. She is difficult to rank because we just have almost zero data on her. The second reason has to do with her devil fruit; she has a fruit (probably age-age fruit) that changes her age and those she touches.

Honestly, it seems pretty overpowered when her powers seem to age or de-age just by touching someone, but I doubt Oda would leave something that strong left unchecked. Even though she seems pretty weak when compared to the Supernovas, her devil fruit is incredible for infiltrating which she did at Mariejois. One last point to make is that we just have no clue how strong she is, so that is why I have to place her last.

11. Scratchmen Apoo

I think the next few are going to be at least equal to a fourth Yonko Commander, and we are going to start with Apoo. Mr. Scratchmen Apoo is straight-up doo doo. It’s literally in his name, and it translates to his battling feats. He doesn’t really have any solid one-on-one fights. Most of the fights in Wano are skirmishes without him doing much but running around. I mean he even got one shot by another Supernova that took him out of combat for a while. His devil fruit is also kind of whack. All you have to do is close your ears and it’s game set match.

Overall, he just doesn’t seem like he has much going for him. Luffy, Law, Zoro, and Kid are all on different levels when compared to this guy. Maybe we will see more of him in the future. Don’t get me wrong, he would probably sing me to death, but compared to the rest of the Supernovas he gets clapped.

10. Capone Bege

Some of you might be thinking that Apoo would beat Bege in a one-on-one. I disagree. What the hell will Apoo do when Bege turns into a castle? Also, if you think about it Bege can put ANYONE inside of him (pause). He puts Usopp in the castle then what would anyone really be able to do? Jokes aside though, I really love his devil fruit, and I think it is extremely good. Defensively, Bege is almost unbeatable. He even held his own for a bit against Big Mom and her crew.

Putting him next to the other Supernovas, a flaw that he has is definitely found in his offensive abilities. In combat, Bege seems to be quite slow, so points have to be deducted from him in this list. Sure, he has impressive feats like obliterating Oven, but does he have what it takes to take out someone like Queen or even Jack? I don’t see it to be honest even though I wish he was stronger because he is an amazing character.

9. Basil Hawkins

As much as I hate this guy, Basil Hawkins definitely has a few impressive feats. If Hawkins has enough time to prepare for a fight, then it will prove to be quite a difficult one. His skirmish with Luffy and Zoro at the beginning of Wano was kind of insane considering he was basically soloing the two of them. Hawkins has access to the Wara Wara (Straw Straw) which gives him tons of strategic abilities.

First off, he can use the straw to create voodoo-like dolls. Whenever he is damaged, someone else he bound that doll to will take the damage. Zoro and Luffy (and Law later in Wano) struggled to do anything about him, so they decided to flee. All in all, Hawkins can hold onto a fight for a decent while, but he just does not have the speed or strength to capitalize on his devil fruit.

8. X Drake

Drake is another one of those guys we just do not know much about. He seems to lose fights that he shouldn’t, but I keep having high hopes because he’s the captain of SWORD. At the time of this writing, Drake has lost almost every important battle. It even seemed like he was struggling with Apoo at times; however, I still think he is above the ones before him. His ancient Zoan allows him to turn into an Allosaurus which is incredibly strong.

I believe that if we put him in a legit one-on-one with Apoo then Drake would easily body him. There just seems like something is holding him back in the series. Mark my words you heathens, there shall be a day in which X Drake will have his moment to shine. Just not yet.

7. Urouge

This man is probably the most suspicious guy of all the Supernovas. What the hell is he doing? He goes to Big Mom’s territory to body Snack and then loses to Cracker. I am not sure exactly the timeline with when Urouge fought Snack, but this is still a very impressive feat. My head canon tells me Urouge lost to Cracker only because he was fatigued from his previous fight. If it had been a fair fight I think Urouge could have won.

His devil fruit is very strong, and it allows him to convert his own damage taken into strength. So the longer the battle goes on the stronger Urouge becomes. Maybe he did have a better chance at fighting Cracker right after Snack considering his fruit, but who knows? Aside from those two fights, we have nothing else about this man’s power.

6. Killer

A lot of Killer’s feats happen in Wano, so I will refrain from discussing most of what happens. At the time of writing, the anime has seen is the fight between Killer and Zoro, and what an amazing fight that was. Zoro did come out as the victor but not without taking an insane amount of damage from one of Killer’s scythes right to the shoulder.

I also appreciate the fact that Killer doesn’t have a devil fruit (aside from the defective SMILE fruit), so it shows how capable he is similarly to Zoro. This fight alone is enough to convince me that Killer is 100% in the top half of the Supernovas.

5. Trafalgar Law

Law has so much potential to be one of the strongest characters in all of One Piece, but I don’t think that is his goal in the show. Even so, he is still extremely strong. Let’s discuss his fruit, the Ope Ope no Mi which, by the way, translates to the Overpowered Overpowered fruit. This fruit is godly, and it can do almost anything within the bubble Law is able to create. Want to teleport? Boom, now he’s on the Statue of Liberty.

Moving on to his fight with Doflamingo, he was able to keep up with him and Luffy for a decent amount. Remember the teleport thing I brought him? He tricked Doflamingo into baiting him and swapped with Luffy at the same time Luffy launched an attack. I love it. Law has more for him to go, but for now, he’s at number 5.

4. Roronoa Zoro

What has Zoro not achieved yet besides becoming the strongest swordsman in the world? Probably Hiyori… Anyway, this man is the epitome of a goddamn beast. He will always surpass himself in every single arc, and he never fails to do it in an epic fashion. His fight with Killer was disgustingly beautiful with Zoro finishing him off with one hit.

Now he has the sword called Enma which was once wielded by Kozuki Oden, one of the strongest swordsmen that have ever lived. He hasn’t had a lot to show in the post-time skip, but Wano definitely lets Zoro shine a lot.

3. Eustass Kid

Now in the top 3, we have Eustass Kid, the user of the Jiki Jiki no Mi. This fruit allows him to abuse magnets by either attracting or repelling objects. Again, like many other Supernovas, Kid has not done much in the series until recently. Unfortunately, I do not want to discuss the recent events, but as manga readers, we know what’s up ;).

Kid has been built up to be one of Luffy’s strongest rivals since Sabaody Archipelago, and he has honestly not done a single thing in the anime. One thing we can discuss is when Luffy and Kid were locked up in Udon and were competing to see who can get the most blocks. Might be a stretch to use it as a comparison, but it was incredibly close.

2. Monkey D. Luffy

YESSIR, IT’S MY BOY AT NUMBER 2, MOOOOONKEY D. LUUUUUFFY. I mean we all know this man is just the best at fighting. His devil fruit is incredibly versatile, and it allows Luffy to be free with a lot of attacks. His gears are incredibly powerful which allowed him to body Doflamingo and get the edge on Katakuri. Now we are going to, hopefully, see Luffy decimate his toughest opponent yet and a Yonko, Kaido.

I cannot see any Supernova aside from one that can possibly defeat him at the current time of writing this. Is there anything else I need to say about Luffy, we just know he is the most goated of the Supernovas.

1. Marshall D. Teach AKA Blackbeard

Right now, this man has TWO devil fruits and both are probably the strongest in their category. He has the Yami Yami no Mi (Dark Dark fruit) and the Gura Gura no Mi (Tremor Tremor Fruit). Quite possibly the strongest logia fruit and the strongest paramecia fruit controlled by one single person. It’s astonishing when this was first revealed because of what we were told about the functions of a devil fruit.

He and his crew killed the previously strongest man, albeit he was incredibly injured, and he later destroys the rest of Whitebeard’s crew in the Payback War. Also, Blackbeard HAS to be the last person for Luffy to fight (or at least one of the last) in the whole series, so it makes sense that he would currently be the strongest on this list.
