A lot of people point to the Void Century because we still have no clue what happened during that period.
Also, on Egghead Island, the crew learns about an advanced robot that they thought was made by Vegapunk. Apparently, it’s an ancient piece of technology that even Vegapunk has difficulty grasping its ingenuity. This would explain the advanced technology and bizarre weather on the Grand Line, and it also raises some questions about the history of the world and how it got to this point.
