Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Final Mix is one of my favorite games ever. I have probably played it at least 15 times, so I have a good amount of experience with every Keyblade in the game. Some are good, some are bad, but you use almost every single one. As for how I will be ranking them, it will be mostly based on what I did for Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix. It would be a rather straightforward list if it were purely based on which is strongest since everyone would have almost the same list. Here are the Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Keyblades ranked.

18. Crabclaw

+6 Strength +1 MP 20% Critical Chance

crab-claw-kingdom-hearts-1.5-keyblade

Starting off the list is Crabclaw which is obtained after Atlantica. Let’s be honest for a moment. After Sora does his work at Agrabah, will you go to Halloween Town or Atlantica (ew)? ONLY THE REAL ONES GO TO HALLOWEEN TOWN NEXT. WE WANT SKELETONS. WE WANT GHOST DOG. I have NEVER gone to Atlantica before Halloween Town in my life. Therefore, I have rarely, if ever, used Crabclaw in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It’s not a bad Keyblade at all, but it’s not Pumpkinhead. The extra magic and summon support from Crabclaw is cool, but there is a better one for that which Sora gets around the same time. Crabclaw comes in dead last for Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Keyblades.

17. Metal Chocobo

+9 Strength -1 MP 2% Critical Chance

metal-chocobo-kingdom-hearts-1.5-keyblades

I’m sorry my Final Fantasy fans. I also really love Final Fantasy, but what the hell is this? The only thing Metal Chocobo has going for is reach, which isn’t that huge of a mechanic in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Let’s just get into why I dislike it so much. First off, the design is not even good. The only callback to Final Fantasy on this is the Chocobo keychain. Other than that, it is pure shite. They slapped a Chocobo on there to please the Final Fantasy fans, and it did not work for me. Looking past the horrible design, you obtain a Keyblade MUCH better than Metal Chocobo almost right after you get it. I rarely used it because of the newer and better-looking Keyblade (KH1 Keyblades are all kind of ugly TBH). On top of that, YOU LOSE AN MP BAR, and the critical chance is almost nonexistent. Square really hates their Final Fantasy fans when it comes to incorporating it into Kingdom Hearts.

16. Lionheart

+10 Strength +1 MP 20% Critical Chance

lionheart-kingdom-hearts-1.5-keyblades

I swear I love Final Fantasy. Maybe not Final Fantasy 8 as much as others, but I still love the series. Honestly, out of every Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Keyblades, Lionheart is one of my favorites when strictly speaking design. It’s also a pretty solid Keyblade because it has a strong strength attribute while also increasing MP and summon duration/damage. However, it falls victim to the same thing many other Keyblades face, obtained too late. You need to defeat Leon and Cloud in the Hades Cup which is unlocked after completing Hollow Bastion twice, and if you don’t already know, you can get several Keyblades around this point in the game that are better than Lionheart. I wish I could place it higher than this, but it is what it is.

15. One-Winged Angel

+8 Strength -2 MP 10% Critical Chance +16 Critical Strength

one-winged-angel-kingdom-hearts-1.5-keyblades

It’s actually pretty funny how every Final Fantasy designed Keyblade is at the bottom of my list. I do have to say that the design on this one is also pretty cool, especially the flames that trail behind each swing. Unfortunately, I just never use any of the Final Fantasy Keyblades because they aren’t worth using by the time I get them. One-Winged Angel is obtained after Sephiroth, the final challenge you face in the game. After defeating him, there is no point in using it. Plus, the stats are pretty abysmal except for the insane amount of critical damage. Other than that, losing a lot of strength and MP is not really worth substituting out when I already have Ultima Weapon and Divine Rose by the time I attempt fighting Sephiroth.

14. Lady Luck

+7 Strength +2 MP 20% Critical Chance

lady-luck

The thing that sets apart Lady Luck and the bottom 3 Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Keyblades is that I used this one for like one fight. That fight was against the Ice Titan. The MP and magic/summon damage are extremely useful when fighting Ice Titan since that is pretty much the most efficient way to take him down. The strength of Lady Luck is alllllright, but it’s outclassed by the time you receive it. I’m not exactly sure what Kingdom Hearts Final Mix is on with their Keyblades and handing them when they are useless. Seriously, you need White Trinity which isn’t obtained until fighting Riku the first time in Hollow Bastion. It’s the best magic-based Keyblade until you defeat the Ice Titan. Overall, Lady Luck ranks so low because it is outclassed right after you use it.

13. Oblivion

+11 Strength -1 MP 20% Critical Chance +2 Critical Strength

oblivion

Oblivion is a beast when it comes to raw physical strength. It boasts the third-highest strength stat in the entire game with incredible critical strength to back it up. The design is also amazing and it becomes one of the core Keyblades in every Kingdom Hearts game, so why is it this low? The reason follows the same old story. It becomes overshadowed almost instantly. The only reason I ranked this above Lady Luck is because I love it so much, but I can’t place it any higher. Had a certain Keyblade not gotten buffed in Kingdom Hearts Final mix, then Oblivion would be much higher.

12. Oathkeeper

+9 Strength +1 MP 40% Critical Chance

oathkeeper

Depending on who you are, this Keyblade could be close to the bottom or close to the top because Sora gets it after his first visit to Hallow Bastion. The issue with that is there is a Keyblade that is slightly better in my eyes; however, if your playstyle is more balanced, then Oathkeeper might be higher on the list for you. I understand the significance behind Oathkeeper and Oblivion. Putting the bias behind me, I have to be honest with what is actually better at the point Sora receives these Keyblades. As much as I wish it were higher, Oathkeeper stays here for now.

11. Diamond Dust

+3 Strength +3 MP 20% Critical Chance

diamond-dust

I guess Diamond Dust is a reference to Final Fantasy, so yay not every single Final Fantasy related Keyblade is ALL the way at the bottom! Diamond Dust is definitely the best magic-based Keyblade coming in with a +3 MP and greatly enhancing magic and summon power. The tradeoff for the strength; however, is not worth it to me. The strength is comparable to the starting Keyblade which is just embarrassing considering you get Diamond Dust after fighting a super boss. I ranked this higher than Oblivion because the extra summon damage/duration can actually be a bit handy. Other than that, Diamond Dust is at number 13 in Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Keyblades for me (neat design at least).

10. Kingdom Key

+3 Strength 0 MP 20% Critical Chance

kingdom-key-kingdom-hearts-1.5-keyblades

OMG, why is the Kingdom Key higher than other Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Keyblades on this list? Because I made the list. While the previous Keyblades are much stronger (except for maybe Diamond Dust), the Kingdom Key is actually used for a decent portion of the game. Sora doesn’t acquire another Keyblade until he locks the Keyhole at Deep Jungle, which is quite a bit into the game. Also, I feel like it would be a disservice to the Kingdom Key because I just love it so damn much (check out my Kingdom Hearts 2 list on Keyblades to see what rank the Kingdom Key is there). Still, it’s a fair argument to make considering these other Keyblades were RARELY used by me. If you have used them a fair bit of time, then let me know your experience with them.

9. Jungle King

+5 Strength 0 MP 10% Critical Strength

jungle-king

Remember when I said you don’t get a Keyblade until completing Deep Jungle? Well, this is that Keyblade: the Jungle King. Design-wise, it’s probably like the bottom 3 Keyblades, and it isn’t THAT strong either. It’s the second Keyblade you get in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, so it makes sense that it isn’t that good. Still, it’s stronger than the Kingdom Key by a WHOPPING 2 strength, and you DO use it for at least 1 Disney World. There isn’t much else to say other than the Jungle King has a lower critical chance percentage, but it does have a longer reach than most Keyblades (which isn’t that important).

8. Three Wishes

+6 Strength 0 MP 20% Critical Chance

three-wishes

Ah, Three Wishes. I wish that the Keyblade was a bit better, I wish the design was also much cuter, and, most of all, I wish for some McDonalds right now. Honestly, the Keyblade does its job at being the best until you get the next one, so I can’t really be that upset about it. Sora gets Three Wishes after rubbing one out to Genie or something along those lines. I wish the Keyblades had abilities to make them more special, but there isn’t much else to say about Three Wishes. It gets the job done.

7. Spellbinder

+4 Strength +2 MP 20% Critical Chance

spellbinder

Yessir, the better Crabclaw. The fact that you do not need to go through any Disney World to get Spellbinder is kind of nice. All you need is every first-level magic spell in the game which there are 7. These magics are obtained throughout the game, so I guess you do need to get through several Disney Worlds before obtaining Spellbinder. Still, you don’t need to go through Atlantica. I understand the hate behind Atlantica, and I am definitely on board with that. Spellbinder gives Sora an extra 2 MP, and it enhances magic and summon power by a lot. To me, this makes it a better magic Keyblade than Crabclaw. Also, using this in level 1 playthroughs is a must to get through the sheer harshness of Level 1 Proud Mode.

6. Pumpkinhead

+7 Strength 0 MP 40% Critical Chance

pumpkinhead

Spots number 6 and 7 were really close, and it was pretty hard to choose which was better. Pumpkinhead has exceptional reach, decent strength, and a high critical chance. There isn’t anything that stands out besides its dope design. For me, Pumpkinhead loses out slightly because of the critical attacks in the next Keyblade on this list. Pumpkinhead does have the potential to be stronger, but its inconsistency keeps it lacking from being better. I may be wrong, but it does, on average, less damage than the Keyblade at slot number 6. Depending on the day, spots 6 and 7 can easily switch.

5. Wishing Star

+5 Strength 0 MP 100% Critical Chance +2 Critical Strength

wishing-star

For some reason, the Wishing Star is one of my favorite Kingdom Hearts Final Mix Keyblades. The design really sells it to me, and it’s actually a really good Keyblade. It may have 1 less strength than Three Wishes and 2 less than Pumpkinhead, but every combo finisher ends in a critical hit, in which the strength of the critical hit is also buffed. In my opinion, the critical chance and critical strength make up for the less strength. Overall, the Wishing Star is a solid underrated midgame Keyblade.

4. Fairy Harp

+8 Strength +1 MP 10% Critical Chance +2 Critical Strength

fairy-harp

Upon murdering Captain Hook, Sora receives the Fairy Harp. Design-wise, the Fairy Harp may look weak, but it’s actually rather powerful, helping in both physical attacks and magical attacks. I love MP bonuses and seeing that blue bar wrap around Sora’s HP. The Fairy Harp excels in helping any type of play style. It does lack in reach, but (and I can’t stress this enough) reach rarely ever matters in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It does get overshadowed rather quickly, but at least it’s the strongest Keyblade you get when you get it.

3. Olympia

+10 Strength 0 MP 20% Critical Chance +2 Critical Strength

olympia

The Son of the Keyblade Trinity. While it’s not the best Keyblade, many will religiously pray to Olympia due to the immense help it gave during the Riku fights in Hollow Bastion. You pop over to Olympus and finish the first 3 cups and boom, you get Olympia. The strength, critical strength, and recoil on Olympia bring together a very strong end game Keyblade. Its ability to deflect almost anything back at its enemy is why it helps a lot against Riku. Apart from that, there isn’t anything else to say about Olympia.

2. Divine Rose

+13 Strength 0 MP 40% Critical Chance

divine-rose

Why Square decided to buff the Father that is Divine Rose in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix is something we might never know, but I do know that it’s the second-best Keyblade in the whole game. In the original Kingdom Hearts on the PS2, Oblivion would have taken the number 2 spot, but it is now outclassed by Divine Rose in everything apart from reach. Sora gets it after locking the Keyhole in Hollow Bastion and speaking to Belle. Bam, he now has the second-greatest Keyblade. The Father of the Keyblade Trinity is dubbed so because it is simply Olympia but stronger (and I guess a bit more fruity). A solid runner-up.

1. Ultima Weapon

+14 Strength +2 MP 40% Critical Chance +2 Critical Strength

ultima-weapon-kingdom-hearts-1.5-keyblades

I mean what did you really expect? It’s literally the Holy Spirit of the Keyblade Trinity because Holy Shit is it good. I don’t really know anything about the Holy Trinity, but it sounds like it makes sense. Anyway, the Ultima Weapon is by far the best Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. It’s the sexiest, strongest, magicalist, and criticalist Keyblade of them all (maybe not criticalist). It can take a while to gather all the synthesis items to create the Ultima Weapon, but it doesn’t take that long, especially if you love the game.

Until Next Time

I hope you enjoyed the list on Kingdom Hearts Final Mix All Keyblades Ranked. I really liked making this one, and I will definitely be making one for the rest of the series. Anyways, thank you, and stay sexy my friends!
