One Piece is one of the MOST popular anime and manga in history. In the last two years, it has also made its way close to the top of the Card Game industry (TCG for short). The One Piece Card Game blew up in December of 2023 and has become more popular. This begs the question. What are the most expensive One Piece cards currently (not graded)? I am glad you asked. Let’s begin with number 10.
10. OP01-003 Alternate Art
Estimated Price 150-160$
Name a better way to start the list than with the first Luffy card from Set 1, Romance Dawn. Competitively speaking, this leader is pretty outdated. The value it gets is from being an OG card from a time when not many were collecting. To me (and I’m sure to many others), this card is extremely iconic, so it’s no wonder why this card is in the 150-160 price range.
9. OP05-060 Alternate Art PSA Magazine Promo
Estimated Price 140-180$
Number 9 is the alternate art promo of the Purple Luffy leader from Set 5, Awakening of the New Era. The only way to obtain this card was if you were a PSA Club Member. Each month, members receive a magazine with a promo card, and PSA decided to collaborate with Bandai to create this beauty. An excellent surprise for One Piece lovers, especially if your favorite arc is Wano. Definitely the best-looking one on this list.
8. P-001 Store Championship Trophy Promo
Estimated Price 230-300$
The very first promo card created was for, you named it, Monkey D. Luffy. If you were one of the few lucky ones who knew about the One Piece card game when it was first released, then you were able to compete for this winner card 2 years ago. Getting first was the ONLY way of winning this card (or if you buy it). It is a very cool memento from the early days of the One Piece Card Game.
7. OP09-119 Manga Rare
Estimated Price 900-1500$
The first manga rare on our list and the most recent card on our list, OP-09-119 from Set 9, Emperors in the New World. Just like the OP01-003 Alternate Art, you can pull OP-09 Manga Rare just by buying packs. If you are lucky enough, you will score big time (especially if you grade it).
6. P-001 Super Pre-Release Promo
Estimated Price 1200-1800$
At number 8, it’s once again P-001. This time, it is the Super Pre-Release version of P-001. Even before the Store Championship Trophy event, the Super Pre-Release event was only available during the tail end of September and the first week of October. A very narrow window of a time when this game was barely known. However, those who won the tournament were happily given the Super Pre-Release promo of P-001. Crazy valuable.
5. ST01-012 Alternate Art Gold-Stamped Signature
Estimated Price 1300-2000$
At number 5, we have another card from Set 5. What makes ST01-012 special in this set is that it is signed by Eichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece. Another cool thing is that anyone can get this because it’s in a regular pack of Awakening of the New Era. Unfortunately for most, packs of Set 5 were nearly impossible to get when first released, and many fans (my friends and myself included) were unable to buy packs. Nonetheless, it’s an awesome card for fans of the series.
4. OP05-119 Manga Rare (PRB-01 Version)
Estimated Price 1450-2250$
Another Manga Rare, this time from Awakening of the New Era. If you have not noticed, Set 5 has A LOT of expensive chase cards. However, this version is a reprint from PRB-01. The reason it is priced lower is because people care more about the older version, which makes it more special than a replica. Also, text was added which had mixed thoughts on many collectors wanting it.
3. OP05-119 Manga Rare (Awakening of the New Era Version)
Estimated Price 2650-6000$
It’s kind of ridiculous to have two almost exact same cards to have two drastically different prices, but that’s the nature of TCGs baby. As mentioned before, old gives an antique-ish vibe, and who doesn’t like antiques more than replicas? Plus, from what I have read, this one is more rare to find than the reprinted PRB-01 version.
2. ST10-006 Promo
Estimated Price 6500$
Man, these Luffy cards are insanely expensive. In Spring of 2024, if you were able to get top 8 in a One Piece regional, you were awarded with this INSANE-looking card. Unluckily, I went 0-4 in Madison, so I kind of didn’t get it. Either way, stunning card with black and red, and an even more stunning price.
1. ST01-001 Promo
Estimated Price 10000$
Finally, the most expensive Luffy card is none other than the ST01-001 Promo. This was another card rewarded to winners of a tournament. In the fall of 2022, online Deck Limited Battles were done and the top two, in the United States, were awarded this gem. Only 14 copies were ever given to players in the United States, so good luck getting enough money for this one. Interestingly, there were 700 copies in total and the serial number is displayed on the top left of the card.
Until Next Time
Thanks for reading if you made it this far. I tried my best to find the most expensive One Piece cards and prices since TCGplayer lists several different prices. I hope you guys enjoyed it and have a great one!
