The One Piece Card Game has become one of the greatest card games in recent years, if not the best. Today, I wanted to discuss the best One Piece cards. For this, I am only worrying about characters, events, and stages. I will do a best leader card another time. Anyway, the most important criteria are how many decks use it within their respective colors (Usability), how much value it brings such as strength and ability (Value), and how reliable it is to use in every matchup (Reliable).

Honorable Mentions

Man, it was hard to choose the top 10. Honestly, if you think any of these honorable mentions should be a top 10 card, I wouldn’t even disagree. I would say Gum-Gum Red Roc (OP04-056), Trafalgar Law (ST17-002), Brook (EB01-046), Donquixote Doflamingo (OP04-031), Silvers Rayleigh (OP08-118), and Jack (OP08-084) barely don’t make it on the list. They are all absolutely OP, but it was hard to justify putting them in the top 10.

10. You’re the One Who Should Disappear (OP06-115)

Usability – 8/10 Value – 8/10 Reliable – 8/10

you're-the-one-who-should-disappear

I put this up here because of how often this card wins people the game. You’re the One Who Should Disappear is a 0 cost 3k counter if you discard a card from your hand. There’s a 0 cost similar to this in every color, however, the trigger is so OP. If this card is your last life, you can trigger it to add a life from the top of your deck. I don’t want to recall how often I have seen this save someone from losing.

9. Nami (OP08-106)

Usability – 8/10 Value – 8/10 Reliable – 10/10

nami

Yellow is a color that doesn’t have that many great cards, but I felt like I needed to incorporate every color into this list. Nami is an excellent 5-cost, 5k power, and 1k counter card that can pop any card that costs 5 or less. Also, you can even cycle a card with the on-play effect. It’s a great mid-game card that can cause the opponent to lose board control which can cause a lot of pressure.

8. Charlotte Pudding (OP06-047)

Usability – 9/10 Value 8/10 Reliable – 7/10

To me, Blue has some CRAZY utility cards that feel bogus every time to play against. That’s why I HAVE to put Charlotte Pudding in the top 10. It’s a 4-cost, 4k, 1k counter card, but the real strength lies in the On Play ability. If your opponent is stacking 6, 7, or 8 cards in their hand, drop Charlotte Pudding and make them return their cards, shuffle, and draw 5 cards. Pretty OP.

7. Shanks (OP09-004)

Usability – 5/10 Value – 10/10 Reliable – 10/10

shanks

While Red isn’t very strong at the moment, Shanks feels so busted when dropped on turn 5 or 6. 10 cost, 12k power with the ability that gives -1k power to every opponent’s characters while it’s alive. If you chain this back to back with another Shanks you pretty much lose, especially since it gets rushed.

6. Sabo (OP04-083)

Usability – 9/10 Value – 9/10 Reliable – 9/10

sabo

Sabo, to me, is the best blocker in the whole One Piece TCG. It’s a 5 cost, 6k power, AND 1k counter character card that also cycles 2 cards and protects the board from KO effects until the next turn. By being 6k power, your opponent pretty much HAS to invest attacking with 6k to your 5k power leader. It just does a lot for a 5 cost character.

5. Gravity Blade Raging Tiger (OP06-058)

Usability – 9/10 Value 10/10 Reliable – 8/10

I have a personal vendetta against this garbage OP card. If you play a mid-range deck, say bye to your board cause this card can bottom deck 2 6 cost or less characters off your opponent’s board. That is a CRAZY tempo change. While it does cost 7 don to use, controlling the board is everything in the One Piece TCG. I’ve felt this firsthand so many times, and it feels so sad… That’s why it has to be on this list.

4. Eustass “Captain” Kid (OP01-051)

Usability – 9/10 Value – 9/10 Reliable – 10/10

The only Green card on this list is OP01 Kid. He is an 8-cost, 8k power character card that has two OP abilities. On a 9 don turn, you can play Kid, rest him to bring a cost 3 or less card from hand, then attach a don on him to make him a blocker plus. When a don is attached to Kid, your opponent can ONLY attack Kid. It’s a nightmare to get rid of.

3. Gum-Gum Giant (OP09-078)

Usability – 10/10 Value – 10/10 Reliable – 10/10

Purple got a buff with this one. Gum-Gum Giant is a 1-cost counter that allows you to give a character or leader plus 4k power and draw 2 cards. The only downside is that you must return 2 don to your don deck. However, Purple is best known for don-ramping, so getting Don back is really simple to do. It’s a high-value card when you need to defend.

2. Ice Age (OP02-117)

Usability – 10/10 Value – 10/10 Reliable – 10/10

Black don’t crack even in One Piece TCG. Ice Age is a 1-cost event card that gives an opponent’s character minus 5 cost. That means you can chain this card easily at 10 don with basically anything other than a 10 don card. Minus a 10 cost character to 5 then play something that pops a 5 cost or less. Very balanced. Ice Age is just a very strong card that can be used in any deck.

1. Gecko Moria (OP06-086)

Usability – 10/10 Value – 10/10 Reliable – 10/10

Of course, Gecko Moria is going to be number 1 on this list. If the leader is Black, this card will be in it no questions. Moria is an 8-cost, 9k-character card that can bring a 4-cost or less and a 2-cost or less from trash to the field. The amount of plays off of this card is insane, especially when paired with another color. You can bring out a blocker or another card that lowers the cost. Possibilities seem endless. Plus, it’s just a very strong attacker too.

Until Next Time

Thanks for reading ladies and gents. If you don’t agree, let me know your thoughts on what is the most cracked card out there that I may have missed. PS, shoutout to TCG Player for card info! Stay sexy my friends.
